We've abandoned LJ and have moved everything over to Dreamwidth. If you wanted to continue following the randomness that ends up in this journal, it'll be at this Club Crimsyn.

Right now the site is still in beta, and as such, new accounts can only be created with invite codes or by buying an account (for as little as $3). I've already given away all of my invite codes, but feel free to check out DW codesharing in to get hooked up with one if you're interested.

However, you don't need to create an account at all! What's fantastic to me about Dreamwidth (aside from just about every damned thing there is to the site) is how seamlessly openid works with it. There's more information about how that works here.

That's it for now!

The site is back up, just so everyone knows.

There's some information on a sort-of-but-not-really donation drive over there. As I've said before, I don't want anyone to feel that they have to donate. I know not everyone can, or even wants to, and that's fine. Still, every little bit helps and is crazy-appreciated. There's no time limit on donations, either; the hosting is currently paid up for an entire year.

For the record, I feel insanely awkward even bringing up donations at all. If the cost hadn't jumped up to four times what it had been, you'd have continued to have heard nothing about it from me at all.

Adding: I have no idea why this journal is defaulting my entries to 'members only.' Sorry about that; I'll try to keep a closer eye on it/threaten it into submission. Arg.

I posted about this over on GoS, but didn't even think to address it here until just a few seconds ago.

Anyway, yes, clubcrimsyn.com is currently off-line. After sitting on the phone with our host for an hour (seriously... I checked my phone timer after I hung up), I learned that apparently we're a bit of a resource vampire. I've upgraded our account, and am currently recovering from sticker-shock.

It should be back online tonight, and if not, I'll sit on the phone again tomorrow morning.

In the mean time, pay no attention to me rocking back and forth in the corner.

I'm back from my vacation now. It's always random, isn't it?

I've spent the last week or so doing facial edits of almost all the beasts of Deception Pass in Milkshape, and finally got them to a point where I was quite pleased with them yesterday. I didn't do much more than shift up the eyelids on everyone just a small amount, but it's made a huge difference. (Because of how I make sims, their eyes tend to get scrunched with the tendency to have droopy eyelids.)

Anyway, to end that particular pointless rambling, I took a few pics last night and thought I'd toss them on your friends pages just to be annoying.

While Mary, Markus, and Andy also had work done, I got really bored remaking everyone in this neighborhood, so they got left out. Maybe next time...

7 Pictures

I'm copying Aikea, of course. Really, though, I haven't taken pictures of any kind in ages, so it was incredibly nice to spend some time with my boy, Damien. They're not that interesting, I promise, but I quite like how they turned out. ^_^

Gallery this way.

angelsfall mentioned something about James and chest hair, and since I'd been thinking it, it had to happen. Thus, these pictures. And of course, Jacob demands attention in the end.

Another project I'm almost finished with. I needed some new outfits for a scene in Deception Pass, and this (along with the previous black RB2 outfit) is what I came up with.

The uv mapping on the shoes is really off for some reason (probably because I was so focused on making the pants work), and I want to make them a lot darker, but this'll do for previews.

Three more pics.Collapse )

Just thought I'd post a pic of the other version of the tucked in shirt outfit I did:

(click for full size)

I just need to add fat morphs to these, and actually fix the issues on the hoodie, and they'll be ready to go. Hopefully that'll be early next week.

You do not want to know the problems I had with the UV mapping on this mesh. However, I beat it to a bloody pulp.

More Rock Band inspired clothing...Collapse )

Also, I do have a version of this without the belts. I plan to release that as well.

Edit: Geeze, I was in such a rush to post this last night I forgot to mention that the version of the mesh without the belts also has the shirt completely buttoned. XD
